U19s Open Event for Offensive Linemen

Wednesday, January 16, 2019

BAFA are pleased to announce that additional Offensive Line (OL) spots have opened up on the Great Britain Lions U19 Squad due to injuries and player availability.

The open event will take place at the next Team GB event, which is taking place at Myerscough College, St Michael's Rd, Preston PR3 0RY from 9am to 6pm, on Saturday the 2nd February 2019.

There are a limited number of 25 trial places available, and these will be allocated on a first come first serve basis. These spots are open to experienced offensive lineman only. Players who have previously tried out and were unsuccessful are encouraged to re-apply as well as new applicants. This is a fully kitted trial, so players are asked to bring their own, full kit, including helmet, shoulder pads, lower pads and gumshields.

There is availability for between 3-9 OL spots, depending on the age of applicants. Eligible players must be born after 31 December 2000 and be at least 14 years old on the day of the trial.

In order to try out, players must register their interest in the camp here:

There are changing facilities available at the venue, with cold food, drinks and snacks available from a shop on site. It is recommended to bring your own food/water, as there are very few facilities in the immediate vicinity of the venue.

Any questions please contact Verity Brawn, Great Britain Lions U19 General Manager.
