McMaster Announces Great Britain U19 Squad

Saturday, March 30, 2019

Head Coach Neale McMaster reveals who will take the field in the IFAF European Championships qualifier against Norway on Saturday 30 March at 1pm at John Charles Stadium, Leeds.

Coach McMaster stated: “I am incredibly proud to lead Team GB U19 in their first European qualifier for several years. I think we have an exceptional group of young men who are ready to go to battle against Norway.

This is a ‘win and we’re in’ game, with qualification to the European Championships in Bologna, Italy on the line and the players and staff couldn’t be more excited. We’re aspiring to represent GB at the highest level possible, which is the European Championships first, and then hopefully the World Championships next year. But we're a long way away from that, and our focus has been on Norway and only Norway for a few weeks now.

We had our last training camp in Hertfordshire last weekend, and coming off a rest week and with all prep done, we couldn’t be in any better shape heading into the game. In order to attain our goal, the first step is on Saturday afternoon at 1pm. All eyes are focused on executing the game plan versus Norway and taking that first step.”
