21 November 2017

BAFA is pleased to announce the appointment of Verity Brawn in the role of Great Britain Lions Under 19's General Manager

Verity has nearly 10 years of experience in American Football, starting out as Game Day Manager for Manchester Titans before become Team Manager for newly formed Titans U19's team in 2010. It was here that Verity began building strong foundations for the future success and sustainability of the program Manchester Titans Junior and Youth football program. Verity was truly the driving force of the Titans recent development and success as their longest standing committee member.

You would struggle to find a more passionate and driven individual in the country when it comes to the future development of Junior and Youth football in the UK. Verity has a wealth of experience managing junior and youth football and more recently playing women’s football since her introduction to the sport in 2008. Outside of the Titans, Verity can be found supporting BAFA at National Finals and international fixtures alike, acting as game day management and a team liaison.

We spoke to Verity and asked her to comment on her recently appointed role: “I am so excited and honoured to be part U19 National Team program and the opportunity to represent Great Britain. I would like to thank the BAFA board and Coach Henry for this amazing opportunity and I cannot wait to help create the next generation of Great Britain Lions”.

BAFA Chairman Martin Cockerill stated" the skill set and passion of the candidates was a breath of fresh air and made selection extremely hard, they all brought great passion and drive to the proceedings, Verity`s ideas and thoughts so closely matched the thinking of Coach Henry that it became one of the factors that helped us split the candidates when deciding the appointment.

We will shortly announce the amazing line up of coaches that will complete the team that will be challenged to build the programme and place our young talent in a position to excel.
