BAFA looking to recruit a Welfare Officer for the U19 National Programme team!

The newly created U19 GB team are looking to recruit a welfare officer to work with the team.

The newly created U19 GB team are looking to recruit a welfare officer to work with the team.  The welfare officer will advise and support the GB U19 team, and its coaches, on welfare and safeguarding issues.  The individual will be expected to attend all training sessions and will be required to travel with the team to games (both home and away).

The successful candidate should have a passion for the success of the sport of American Football in Great Britain, with an ability to provide strong leadership.  A specialist knowledge of safeguarding, welfare, and equality and diversity, issues are necessary qualities.  Excellent relationship and partnership building skills are also required. The role will also require diplomacy, excellent communication and strong influencing skills together with a high degree of confidentiality and an understanding of the legal implications of the same.

The position is a voluntary unpaid position, and the successful candidate will also be required to cover their own expenses (although expenses may be recoverable in exceptional cases of hardship).
