BAFA announces vacancies for U19 Great Britain Lions programme

A General Manager, Coordinators and position coaches all sought for reboot of the programme

BAFA is looking for a dedicated General Manager and position coaches for the GB Lions U19 team to help newly appointed Head Coach Jason Henry build his team to create and deliver a programme that all of the British American football community can be proud of. 

The General Manager will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the U19 team, as well as helping to establish and follow a mission statement for the programme.

Coach Henry is looking for both Coordinator and positional coaching applicants, all of whom will be responsible for developing athletes both to become better players and to ensure that they are ready to meet future challenges both on and off the Gridiron.

BAFA Chairman Martin Cockerill stated: "This is an opportunity for the best coaches to step forward and help us build a programme that will not only help and develop our domestic teams and players, but put Great Britain back where we belong on the international stage. We are looking at the longer term development of the team and players and as such require coaches who will create a programme that builds long term success not only for the nation but also for the athletes who enter the programme. We have long ranging plans and need the right staff to help us realise our goals".

The deadline for the GM position is midnight on Sunday 30th April, with the application pack found here, while the deadline for coaching position applications is midnight on Friday 5th May, with the application pack found here. Details on the roles can also be found on the BAFA website.
